Meeting de Montelimar

Last weekend our home meeting took place in Montelimar. We were all really looking forward to it. With a few start difficulties due to illness, I was still able to successfully complete the meeting. The program were 10 races and 2 relays with an add of 10 finals. This is a lot for me compared to other competitions. Our plan was to swim as much as possible. The program was complete and ranged from 400m medley (1. Time in my career) up to 200m butterfly, the distance I swore to myself at 16, to never swim again. I was even fast enough for a meeting record over the 400m medley. Positive about the competition, I was surprised by my times on the extraordinary distances for me and the cool experiences. We were able to benefit from a lot of sun and blue sky all weekend. There were small storm clouds, but we were spared. The organisation was once again super organised and the competition went without problems. My sister (Elodie Brugger) was also there. That made me very happy, as we rarely swim competitions together. Now I can look back on a long, strict, but good weekend. With a few bright spots and ideas for future competitions, it will continue in 2 weeks towards Rennes to the French championships.
